Ghana West Africa 2003

    In 2003 we journeyed into the "dark continent." These photos are just a small sampling of our junket to Ghana West Africa. It is a country filled with joyous color, sights and and sounds. It also has poverty and squalor but the people are at one with faith, rich in culture and proud of their history. It is a country full of life.

Namibia 2011

  • In 2011 we returned to Africa, this time to the south.

Transportation

Transportation in Namibia is so conventional (with the exception that you drive on the "wrong" side, Mark going back about 35+ years to his Barbados days of learning to drive a manual on the wrong side has been fun) compared to the other places we've been. Anyway we came up to this rig while driving back to Windhoek and I had to take a picture. I actually blushed when I realized they knew I was taking a pic and they posed.
